The Signpost is a community-written and community-edited newspaper, covering stories, events and reports related to Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation sister projects. A new issue is published every Monday. The first issue of the Signpost was published on 10 January 2005.
Michael Snow served as editor-in-chief from the paper’s beginnings until August 2005, when he was followed by Ral315 through December 2008. Ragesoss was the editor from February 2009 until June 2010. The current acting editor-in-chief is HaeB.
The main home of the Signpost is on the English Wikipedia, where Wikipedians and other readers can check out the current issue, browse the archives, collaborate on future issues at the newsroom, and comment on individual stories. This blog, maintained by HaeB and owned by Ral315, provides a convenient RSS feed for keeping up with the weekly Signpost issues. The Signpost‘s Twitter and Identi.ca feeds contain timely Wikipedia- and Wikimedia-related news in advance of more detailed coverage in the following Signpost issue.
